Job Title: Quality Technician (Internal Quality Audit)
Salary: £27,855.48 rising to £29,279.31 when role objectives are reached
Contract: Full time & Permanent
Location: Desford, Leicestershire
The Opportunity:
As Quality Technician in Internal Quality Audit (IQA) within the Quality department, you will support efforts to maintain and improve the quality of machines leaving the Desford facility. You will conduct audits on parts and partially or fully built machines to a takt time following inspection standard work.
What you will do:
As a Quality Technician, you are accountable for, but not limited to:
* Conducting audits on parts, partially or fully built machines following inspection standard work.
* Recording defect information in detail via electronic, manual processes or visual boards.
* Investigating, analyzing, and identifying Root Cause, and operating the NCM (Non-Confirming Material) process.
* Conducting basic visual and dimensional inspections as part of investigations.
* Reworking parts and machines as required.
* Proactively protecting the quality of machines and parts.
What You Can Demonstrate:
* Quality Operations: Communicates across departments and teams, ensuring a smooth workflow. Proactively reviews Quality data to ensure metrics are met.
* Quality Knowledge: Reads and interprets engineering drawings and quality standards. Able to inspect parts or machines to determine conformity.
* Safety: Proactive in managing safety standards and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Fosters psychological safety and team engagement, ensuring open communication and collaboration across diverse groups.
* Process Improvement: Evaluates production methods and maintains focus, with team input, on promoting continuous improvement of processes and products utilizing lean, Six Sigma, and driving innovation.
* Prioritisation: Self-motivated and able to proactively manage multiple priorities.
What You May Have:
* Previous Material Requirements Planning System (Glovia) Experience.
* Advanced knowledge of reading engineering drawings.
* Skilled at using dimensional inspection tools.
Interview Process: First Stage Interviews wc 27 January 2025 and on-site face-to-face interviews wc 3 February 2025
