We are looking for part time and full-time staff to join our team in a busy boarding kennel and cattery. Duties will be varied, include cleaning, exercising, feeding, playing, grooming, administering medication when required and the overall daily care of the pets in our care. Other aspects of the job will include office duties, cleaning of communal areas contributing to the general tidiness and presentation of the kennels and cattery. The ideal candidate will have a qualification in animal welfare, prior experience within the animal industry with demonstrable experience handling cats and all sizes of dogs and must be capable of handling very large breeds. Applicants should be reliable and prepared for a physically demanding role working in all weather conditions. Applicants should live within a reasonable travelling distance, have their own transport as we are in a rural location and preferably a full clean driving licence. Both full time and part time posts are temporary (initially for the period of eight months however there is the possibility of a permanent contract for a suitable candidate) and will start with a 3-month probation period. Hours of work are generally 7.00am- 4.00pm, 8.00am 5.00pm or 9.00am - 6.00pm. We operate 7 days a week and shifts will be on a rota basis. Both full time and part time posts will include working weekends and public holidays. Full time post 40 hours per week, part time post 8-24 hours per week. Qualifications 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) grade c and above including English and Maths level 2/3 animal care qualification. Salary: £15,700- £ 27,000 (pro rata) depending on age and experience.
