Job summary We are looking for highly motivated Surgical Pre-Operative Assessment Team Leader to join our Theatre Team at Brecon and Llandrindod Hospitals. The role of Surgical Pre-Operative Assessment Team Leader is to be accountable for their own practice including the assessment and referral of patients, working autonomously within the pre-operative assessment clinic. Implementing care, providing specialist advice and clinical practice and drawing up clinical management plans whilst mindful of pathways, guidelines and targets. Main duties of the job This role carries the highest level of perioperative expertise within the surgical preoperative assessment team. The post holder will be able to deputise for the theatre manager in their absence. Provide leadership, guidance, advice and liaison to the multidisciplinary team. Supporting and contributing to development of clinical pathways, service improvement and re design initiatives within the area.
