SHEQ Coordinator – Milton Keynes
Salary: up to £35,000 per annum DOE
37.5 hours per week – Mon-Fri
Fixed Term Contract - 12 months
This role reports to the Senior SHEQ Manager. The SHEQ Coordinator is responsible for ensuring compliance with Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality (SHEQ) standards across the Municipal Division.
The role involves analysing data to identify trends and business risks, collaborating with line managers to effectively manage SHEQ risks, and enhancing SHEQ awareness to drive continuous improvement and foster cultural change.
Additionally, the coordinator ensures that all accidents, incidents, near misses, and non-conformities are reported and investigated per corporate and divisional procedures, while working with site teams to promote thorough reporting and prompt resolution of identified issues.
Some of your key responsibilities:
1. Analyse system data trends to identify issues and patterns.
2. Prepare and present data/reports weekly for SHEQ meetings.
3. Follow up on incident reports and ensure timely resolution.
4. Track and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to SHEQ.
5. Oversee SHEQ system administration, including managing access requirements.
6. Coordinate SHEQ training sessions and induction.
7. Liaise with external insurers and internal key stakeholders on potential claims.
8. Share best practices and necessary improvements across sites to promote continuous improvement.
9. Support auditing processes by conducting checks to ensure that managers and employees utilise the correct systems, processes, and forms.
10. Update policies with team support, ensuring final approval from the Senior SHEQ Manager.
Essential criteria for this role:
1. Proven experience in a similar role.
2. Advanced Microsoft Office Suite user including Power BI and Power Apps.
3. Demonstrable success in supporting the development and implementation of data analytics.
4. Curiosity to identify trends and confidence to highlight to the business and key stakeholders.
5. Ability to build and maintain strong, cohesive relationships across a variety of levels and roles.
6. Experienced communicator at all levels.
7. Have a positive, can-do approach to solving problems in a structured manner.
8. Valid Driving Licence.
9. Prepared to travel nationally as and when required to support the company.
10. IT literate and aptitude to quickly learn new software.
