Are you a Practice Nurse working in Primary Care, living around Darlington, looking to specialise in Diabetes Care?
We are currently recruiting for a Practice Nurse to join this vibrant and forward-thinking practice in Central Darlington on a permanent basis. This single-site practice is accessible via a turn-off from a main a-road with excellent transport links (and on-site parking!), surrounded by local amenities.
They are a System1 practice, although happy to offer an induction for those more familiar with EMIS, with a patient list of around 15,000.
This surgery has a great retention rate, and they will welcome you as soon as you walk through the door, offering continued guidance and support to ensure you’re fully settled and comfortable in your new role.
You’ll be working within a robust, experienced clinical team, with the added support of a well-structured administration team. You'll be the Lead Diabetic Nurse, responsible for delivering care to diabetes/pre-diabetes patients primarily, with occasional general treatment room duties.
As a Practice Nurse, you’ll be qualified to carry out basic treatment room skills (i.e., vaccinations, immunisations, wound care/dressings, cytology). A qualification in Diabetes (Diploma or equivalent) is desirable, but the practice will consider those with significant experience.
