Askham Bryan College is a specialist land-based college based across the North of England with centres in York, Middlesbrough, Saltaire, Wakefield and Newcastle.
We offer a wide-ranging curriculum to our Further Education students, including Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Management, Countryside and the Environment, Engineering, Equine, Floristry, Motorsport, Outdoor Adventure Sport, Sports Development, Coaching and Fitness, Uniformed Public Services and Veterinary Nursing.
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Marketing and Recruitment assistant to join our Marketing and Recruitment team. In this role, you will:
1. Provide Excellent Customer Service: Responding to enquiries by phone, email and in person to support applicants through the recruitment process, you will share responsibility for the Main Reception desk at our York Campus.
2. Support Events: You will have the opportunity to work at a range of events both on and off campus such as Campus Tours, Open Days, Careers Fairs and Agricultural Shows.
3. Contribute to Marketing Content: You will support the team on content projects such as photoshoots, interviews, written content and updating existing content on website and print materials.
4. Support Student Recruitment Team: You will work with the wider team to assist with processing applications, applicant communications and enquiries.
What We're Looking For:
1. Excellent Customer Service Skills: You will be representing the college as the first port of call for enquirers, so friendly and efficient customer service is a must.
2. Enthusiasm for Marketing and Student Recruitment: If you are interested in developing your skills in events, marketing or student recruitment then this job will provide plenty of learning and development opportunities.
3. Versatility and Adaptability: As well as sharing responsibility for our Front of House reception and enquiries function, you will also support the wider team on a range of ad-hoc tasks and events. A can-do attitude and willingness to learn will be crucial.
4. Team Collaboration: As a key team member, you’ll also support our broader student recruitment and marketing efforts to ensure a seamless journey for learners from initial awareness to enrolment.
