Goldsmiths Solicitors are looking for an experienced Conveyancing Paralegal to join the expanding Residential Conveyancing Team.
Suitable candidates will have previous experience within a similar role where they have dealt with conveyancing files from beginning to end. Good knowledge of the conveyancing process is a must. The ideal candidate will show a high level of competency in managing case files from instructions through to completion and post-completion. You will be expected to have a basic understanding of conveyancing concepts and use a common-sense approach to resolve issues that may arise in the transactions.
This role requires an eye for detail and your role will consist of but not be limited to the following:
* Manage and take responsibility for your own caseload where appropriate
* Assist conveyancers in the efficient processing and management of Residential Conveyancing matters including sales and purchase transactions of freehold, leasehold, registered, unregistered, shared ownership, and new build properties
* Attend to clients, estate agents, solicitors, intermediaries, and other 3rd parties both on the telephone/e-mail and in written correspondence
* Ensure that clients are dealt with efficiently, professionally, and politely and that appropriate legal matters are raised with the Conveyancers
* Provide general legal administrative support to colleagues in Residential Conveyancing
* Take proactive action to ensure all parties are kept informed
* Adhere to Money Laundering procedures and report any suspicious circumstances.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
* Educated to undergraduate level, ideally with an LLB (although not required if you have worked in a paralegal role before)
* Prospective Conveyancer or Solicitor applicants must be registered to practice with the CLC or SRA
* At least 6 months experience working within a Conveyancing Department
* Knowledge of the Conveyancing process from instruction through to completion
* Strong attention to detail and able to time-manage efficiently
* Excellent administration and organisational skills
* Interpersonal and client-focused
