Join our team as an Electrical Operations Engineer at Teesdock. We're seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead our team at Teesdock. The individual will be proactive and eager to learn while prioritising safety, efficiency, and teamwork to ensure all machinery and equipment performs in a safe and effective manner. About the role:
1. Set and enforce the necessary safety and engineering standards to ensure the safe and productive operation of Teesdock Assets.
2. Manage and lead the electrical teams at Teesdock, providing coaching, guidance and support to electrical staff. Set the standard both technically and professionally, encouraging the required behaviours within their area of responsibility.
3. Ensure that maintenance strategies are kept up to date and that they are effective with respect to securing asset safety and reliability.
4. Continually identify new technologies and practices that may improve the operation of the business and to implement these as appropriate.
5. Identify & implement projects to improve the Teesdock operations and manage the risk associated with electrical equipment.
6. Submit capital applications for projects and support the implementation of these where required ensuring they are executed in a professional manner and that the necessary processes are in place to ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, financial and time-related requirements over the entire project life-cycle.
About you:
The successful candidate should be:
1. Degree in Electrical Engineering or other relevant discipline.
2. Chartered Engineer status or working towards.
3. Comprehensive knowledge of low voltage electrical equipment including control & automation equipment associated with conveyor systems.
4. Understanding of the maintenance and operation of high voltage systems.
5. Extensive knowledge of engineering maintenance techniques to improve machine reliability.
