Are you an experienced teacher with a passion for supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? We are looking for a dedicated Supply SEMH Teacher to work in a dynamic and supportive educational environment in Southampton.
Role: Supply SEMH Teacher
Location: Southampton
Contract: Supply (short-term/long-term assignments)
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging lessons and support to students with SEMH needs.
Tailor teaching methods to meet the individual needs of each student.
Foster a positive, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment.
Support the development of social, emotional, and academic skills.
Collaborate with support staff and other educators to create personalized learning strategies.
Maintain effective communication with parents, guardians, and school staff.
Key Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Experience working with students who have SEMH or other complex needs (preferred but not essential).
Strong classroom management skills.
A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach to teaching.
Ability to create a safe, positive, and supportive learning environment.
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
