Are you a highly motivated senior Occupational Therapist wanting to develop your leadership skills? Are you looking for a new challenge for 2025?
Following a retirement, we have a vacancy in our Occupational Therapy Leadership Team.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and innovative Occupational Therapist to lead and develop the Older Persons Mental Health Occupational Therapy Service across Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board. This post provides a unique opportunity for an Occupational Therapist with significant experience of working within mental health, primary care, and community services. It is also an opportunity for any senior Occupational Therapist with significant experience of managing teams and leading and developing services, who has an interest in Adult Mental Health. The post holder will work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders in the modernisation of current services and the co-design of new services, as well as ensuring the delivery of an evidence-based, high-quality, and efficient Occupational Therapy service.
We are an innovative leadership team, developing new ways of working to meet increasing demands, and this post will be a part of this exciting transformation. The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to work flexibly and creatively in both the leadership and clinical aspects of the role.
The post holder will be responsible for the operational management and professional leadership of the Adult Mental Health Occupational Therapy Service across Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board.
Welsh Desirable (Level 3 or above in Speaking/Listening): This role is categorised as ‘Welsh Desirable’ in Speaking/Listening, meaning that whilst the candidate doesn’t need to have skills in Welsh, we’ll consider it an advantage when short-listing candidates. Level 3 in Speaking/Listening means being able to hold a conversation in Welsh about everyday things and everyday work matters. It isn’t about being ‘fluent’ or writing long reports in Welsh. Just everyday, conversational Welsh so that you can talk to patients in Welsh and English.
