Industrial Door Engineer
Location: Milton Keynes / Luton / Oxford
Salary: £18-22 per hour depending on experience
Overtime rates at 1.5 or 2.0

A well-established, midlands-based door maintenance specialist is currently looking to bolster its engineering team and is targeting an additional Industrial Door Engineer to cover the region stretching from Milton Keynes across to Oxford.
The package on offer includes a starting hourly rate of up to £19 per hour, door to door pay, overtime paid at 1.5 or 2.0 depending on time, low frequency call out rota, annual bonus, regular incentives, paid Christmas shutdown, and more.
The company installs, maintains, and repairs a wide range of equipment including industrial doors, roller shutters, speed doors, gates, barriers, and automatic doors. The workload is heavily biased towards industrial doors, speed doors, and loading bay equipment; therefore, experience in this area is key.
Applicants do not need to be competent working on automatic doors, gates, and barriers as enhanced training and support will be provided. However, your starting rate will be reflective of your experience and training required.
Responsibilities:
1. Servicing, maintaining, and repairing loading bays, dock levellers, dock shelters, buffers, wheel guides, traffic light systems, sectional doors.
2. Maintenance of automatic gates and car park barriers.
3. Basic electrical wiring.
4. Fault finding on electrical, mechanical, and electronic equipment.
5. Adhering to industry regulations such as BS EN 16005 and DHF standards.
6. Occasional maintenance of automatic doors manufactured by companies such as Assa Abloy, Record, Geze, Dorma, Stanley, Tormax, and Horton.
Requirements:
1. Experience working on industrial doors, speed doors, and loading bay equipment.
2. Ideally experience working on gates, barriers, and automatic doors.
3. Hold relevant industry qualifications such as: DHF, EN 16005, NVQ Level 2 Industrial Door Maintenance, CSCS Card, PASMA, IPAF.
4. Clean driving licence.
Remuneration Package:
1. £18 - £22 per hour depending on experience.
2. Door to door pay.
3. Overtime rates paid at 1.5 and 2.0 depending on time. Travel is paid at overtime rates.
4. 28 days holiday plus paid Christmas shutdown.
5. External supplier training courses.
6. Annual bonus worth up to £1200.
7. 1 week in 8 callout rota. £60 per week standby plus £35 per callout and premium overtime rates when on call.
