Overview
Over a 3-year period (not including end point assessment) We provide bespoke training for our Site Managers of the future along with on-the-job mentoring and learning. When not being fully supported on a site/office you will attend a local university or apprenticeship provider.
Role Summary
This role is based on a construction site as part of the site management team, and takes some responsibility for security, health and safety, and organising and supervising materials and people. This may appeal to someone who has an interest in being actively involved in the construction project from a practical point of view.
What you will be doing
You'll learn how to coordinate site-based construction projects, carry out risk assessments, liaise with key figures and more within our construction project team.
Health and Safety: Identify risk of activities and encourage all employees to demonstrate safety conscious behaviours.
Sustainability - Assess, identify and record the environmental impact of projects
Assist in the implementation of the most appropriate solutions for construction projects.
Project Management: Use effective management principles and be able to supervise construction workers.
Planning and Organising Work: Understand overall plan for project and measure and record progress against plan.
Monitor Quality: Assess and report on quality standards and assist in commissioning of finished construction projects.
Monitor costs: Understand financial and legal constraints and measure and record progress against budget.
What you will be studying
You will study towards a Construction Site Management Apprenticeship with qualifications achieved through a combination of university work and gathering work-based experience and evidence.
Academic Requirements
Level 6: You will will require five GCSEs at 9-4 (or A*-C on the old grading scale), including English and Maths.
You will also need Level 3 qualifications, such as A-Levels, NVQs, a BTEC or a Level 3 (Advanced) apprenticeship
