The Opportunity: We are currently recruiting for a Senior Utility Surveyor to join Our Subsurface Engineering Department in our Watford based office. This is a brilliant opportunity for an experienced Utility Surveyor who is driven to lead a variety of high profile and business critical projects with the support of a highly experienced Head of Department. What will I be doing in my new role? Autonomously managing teams onsite to deliver the project objectives. Undertaking of utility surveys in a variety of environments using the latest EM and GPR technologies and equipment available. Assisting the Head of Department to tender for large projects which will involve attending client sites and taking the time to understand client needs. Handling, processing, and interpreting geospatial data within the sub-surface environment to provide to clients in a timely manner. Assisting with detailed field and office surveying assignments. Other adhoc project duties as required. Requirements of the role: Degree in geomatics, civil engineering, construction or similar (Ideally – However, those with experience through field work will also certainly be considered) Strong experience in a similar utility/ surveying role. QCF3/QCF5 (Desirable but not essential) Strong knowledge of the principles and practices of GPR and underground surveying Ability to use EML and GPR with high proficiency Understanding and knowledge of PAS128 Ability to understand and analyse asset owner record drawings Understanding and knowledge of land surveying (desirable but not a requirement) Good writing skills and proficiency in the English language The right to work in the UK Flexibility to occasionally travel nationwide as required by our clients Possess a full clean UK manual driving license Strong work ethic with drive for career growth What key attributes do I need?
