Senior Credit Controller
We are delighted to be working again with one of my favourite clients based in Sale, Manchester who due to growth are looking for a Senior Credit Controller to join them.
The type of person we need is very strong in organisation with the ability to manage a busy team of credit controllers. Exposure to the recruitment industry would be very helpful. Someone with the ability to follow processes well and who can think for themselves. Working on over 300 live clients trading at £10M monthly, so the ledger is very large and has a very quick turnaround in terms of invoice to payment.
As a senior member of the credit control team, you will have the responsibility for collections and managing high-end accounts. This is a hands-on role in a busy environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Work to tight deadlines
2. Take ownership of collection for a specific section of the accounts receivable ledger
3. Liaising with and chasing external clients for payments
4. Liaising with stakeholders
5. Support the team with cash postings, allocations, and reconciliations
6. Query resolution on outstanding debt
7. Provide regular reports relating to cash collection and other KPIs to the Credit Control Manager as requested
8. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date customer details and account records
9. Ensuring the company Credit Check Process is adhered to across the businesses
10. Experience with billing and Self Billing Accounts
11. Excellent reconciliation skills, cash posting, account reconciling
12. Experience with Master Data Set Up and Account Cleansing
13. Minimum of 2 years experience as a Senior Credit Controller
14. Experience of supervising a team of 4-5
15. High standard of numeracy, accuracy, and IT systems
16. Good knowledge of MS Office products, especially Excel, essential
17. Strong organisational and time management skills
18. Ability to recognize potential risks & concerns and escalate these to the Credit Manager
19. Ability to prioritise workloads and work well under pressure
