The firm is looking for a qualified Family Law Solicitor with 4 to 8 years PQE to join the thriving Family Law team. The successful candidate will manage a diverse caseload of private family law matters, providing expert advice and support to clients in various family law issues, including divorce, child custody, financial settlements, and other family disputes. Key Responsibilities: Manage a varied caseload of family law matters, including divorce, financial settlements, child arrangements, prenuptial agreements, and domestic abuse cases. Provide expert legal advice to clients, ensuring clear and empathetic communication at all stages of the legal process. Draft and review legal documents such as divorce petitions, financial consent orders, and child arrangement orders. Represent clients in family court hearings, mediation, and settlement negotiations. Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring high levels of client care and satisfaction. Collaborate effectively with other team members, including junior solicitors, paralegals, and support staff. Assist the Head of Department in driving the growth and development of the family law team. Stay updated on family law developments and best practices to ensure compliance with relevant regulations. Contribute to business development activities and the continued expansion of the family law department. Key Requirements: UK qualified solicitor with 4 to 8 years of post-qualification experience in Family Law. Training from a reputable commercial law firm is highly desirable. Proven experience managing a range of family law cases, including complex financial disputes, divorce, children's matters, and domestic abuse. In-depth understanding of family law, legislation, and relevant case law. Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills. Experience representing clients in court and in mediation settings. Ability to manage a busy caseload and meet deadlines effectively. Proactive approach to client relationship management and business development. A compassionate, client-focused approach, particularly in sensitive family law matters. Desirable: Membership of professional bodies such as Resolution or the Law Society's Family Law Panel.
