The Opportunity: Nigel Wright Group are pleased to be working with a Newcastle-based SaaS business in their search for an experience Business Development Manager. Our client provides a leading solution which is sold into a range of industries including construction, manufacturing and transportation. As a Business Development Manager, you will be instrumental in driving the success of the company by implementing a strong and sustainable sales strategy. This is a hybrid role with a minimum of two days in the Newcastle city centre office. Role Profile: • Implement a strong and sustainable sales strategy identifying opportunities and turn leads into sales• Manage the sales cycle through to close to ensure monthly/quarterly and annual targets are achieved/exceeded• Develop a deep understanding of the clients’ industries to enable solutions to be positions effectively• Promote and demonstrate the product to customers in a professional consultative manner• Attend industry specific trade exhibitions and conferences to build networks and spot opportunities• Negotiate and prepare lucrative, long-term contracts Person Specification: • Minimum 12 months sales experience working in a SaaS organisation in a client facing role• Highly effective communication skills with ability to influence people at all levels including c-suite• Enthusiastic and highly motivated to deliver results• Has a passion for software / technology • Demonstrable strong negotiation skills producing tangible win/win results• An understanding of Construction/Transport/Manufacturing industries would be hugely advantageous Other information: This is a hybrid role with the expectation of 2 days per week in the Newcastle city centre office
