We are seeking a highly motivated Health and Safety Advisor to join our external clients HSEQ team in Northumberland.
The successful candidate will work closely with the H&S Manager to promote a safety-first culture, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and driving continuous improvement in health and safety practices across the organisation.
Key Accountabilities:
* Assist with health and safety matters, including liaison with national safety, regulatory, and enforcement bodies.
* Contribute to continual improvement.
* Support the review, development, and implementation of risk assessments, non-conformances, and method statements.
* Maintain a strong presence around the site and assist managers/supervisors on the implementation of health and safety procedures and actions.
* Attend health and safety management meetings and help implement existing and new legislation.
* Investigate and record any incidents correctly and accurately.
* Contribute to internal and external audits.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
* Working towards or holding an industry-recognised qualification, such as the NEBOSH National General Certificate.
* Demonstrable knowledge of health and safety regulations and their practical application.
* Ideal experience in an industrial or logistics environment with a proactive approach to health and safety management.
* Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
