Job Description
Responsibilities:
1. Support manufacturing and engineering activities, including design verification, testing, troubleshooting, fabrication, and assembly of prototype electromechanical systems and test equipment.
2. Perform continuity and functional testing of electrical, electronic, fiber optic, and antenna systems.
3. Construct, modify, and debug basic test tooling and equipment using engineering drawings and instructions.
4. Set up, calibrate, and perform routine preventative maintenance on automated and manual test equipment.
5. Layout, build, test, troubleshoot, and repair electronic and electromechanical assemblies, subsystems, and systems.
6. Interpret engineering drawings, diagrams, and schematics for design, assembly, and troubleshooting.
7. Calibrate, align, test, diagnose, and maintain equipment and systems.
8. Implement process improvements, conduct experiments under senior technician guidance, and document results.
9. Organize and analyze data to identify cause-effect relationships and recommend resolutions or process improvements.
10. Operate related test equipment, conduct tests, and report results in prescribed formats.
11. Provide direction to other technicians performing similar duties as needed.
Qualifications:
1. Education: Associate’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent, plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
2. Clearance Requirements: Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Clearance.
3. Experience and Skills:
* Proficiency in using fabrication tools and test equipment.
* Experience fabricating complex hardware and assembling electronic or electromechanical devices.
* Strong knowledge of technical theory and principles.
