The post holder is responsible for the strategic design and implementation for Simulation Education across the trust for all staff groups.
Main duties of the job
Responsible for the strategic design and implementation for simulation across the Trust for all staff groups, students (medical, nursing, AHP, and midwifery) and volunteers.
Lead and manage the team to deliver Simulation activity in the Trust and ensure it is patient focused and responsive to clinical need.
Ensure Simulation activity is aligned with national guidance and Trust strategic objectives.

Person Specification
Essential
* Degree level
* Masters qualification in relevant topic or working towards, or relevant equivalent experience
* Highly developed knowledge in simulation, underpinned by theory and experience
* Relevant ASPiH accredited courses
* Professional Qualification (Nurse, Midwife, AHP or doctor)
* PG Cert in Education
* Extensive experience working in Simulation
* Budget management experience
* Experience of facilitating external income generating courses to provide extended skills development
* Ability to plan and manage the delivery of annual simulation training programmes meeting needs of NHSE, Universities and Trust requirements
* Evidence of individual & multi-professional audit
Desirable
* ASPiH accredited
* Leadership / Management qualification
* Recognised instructor course
* Recruiting and working with volunteers to provide simulation training
* Experience of developing policies and procedures
