Teaching Personnel are currently working with a SEN school inAshfordwho are looking to recruit effective behaviour mentors to support students overcome barriers to their learning.
The role offers a varied and ever-changing environment in which members of staff work flexibly to support vulnerable students with emotional, social, and mental health difficulties. The role is full-time with the potential of offer of a permanent contract for those who excel in post.
Those who have experience in the following areas would be of particular interest:
Youth work
Art background
Support work & residential care
Learning mentor
Prison officers
Graduates from relevant disciplines (Psychology, Sociology, Sports, Criminology and Education)
The primary function of this role is to work collaboratively with the team supporting students in developing students’confidence, self-esteem,increasing school participation and to generally cultivate greater aspirations to achieve, not only in education but in their lives as a whole.
