We’re working with a long-established, family-run manufacturer based in Hull, looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to keep production running smoothly. What You’ll Be Doing: Reactive & Planned Maintenance: Keeping metalworking machinery, presses, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems running at their best. Hands-On Fixes: Troubleshooting faults across mechanical systems (and a bit of electrical – think sensors, switches, control panels). Site Machinery Oversight: Spotting issues before they become problems, staying ahead of the curve. General Maintenance: From swapping out fuses to helping keep the site running smoothly. Collaboration: Working alongside the Operations Manager and sharing best practice with the Engineering Director. What We’re Looking For: Time-served Mechanical Engineer or NVQ Level 2 (or above) in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering. Solid experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, tooling, and mechanical fault-finding. Comfortable working solo—you’ll be the go-to engineer on-site. Bonus if you’ve got an FLT Counterbalance licence (not essential). Previous experience in a manufacturing or metalworking environment is a big plus.
