They are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team for a range of projects working from their office on the outskirts of Bristol. Position Overview: As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful financial and contractual management of the project. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quantity surveying, with a focus on new build construction projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented professional to contribute to the success of a high-profile development in Bristol. There is scope to move this role into a wider Commercial Manager position for the business. Projects will be varied – often worked under JCT or NEC forms of contract. Responsibilities: Cost Management: Efficiently manage project costs, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Contract Administration: Administer and manage contracts, ensuring compliance and minimizing risks. Tendering: Prepare and analyze tender documents, manage the tendering process, and negotiate contracts. Value Engineering: Identify opportunities for value engineering and cost-saving measures without compromising quality. Financial Reporting: Provide accurate and timely financial reports to senior management. Subcontractor Management: Evaluate and manage subcontractor performance, including payments and variations. Risk Management: Proactively identify and manage project risks, implementing mitigation strategies as needed. Client Relations: Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and stakeholders. Requirements: Qualifications: Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field. Experience: Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably on fit-out projects. Skills: Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. Proficient in relevant software tools. Certification: Membership in a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS) is desirable. Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively within a team and coordinate with various stakeholders.
