Calling all SEN Teaching Assistants
Are you looking for a teaching assistant role where you can truly make a difference?
Protocol Education is working with a school in High Wycombe to find a 1:1 for a child in year 5 with ADHD.
Whilst experience of working in an education setting may be beneficial, it is not essential. Prior candidates who were successful had backgrounds in: Youth Work, Care/ Hospital experience, Art/ Creative backgrounds, Psychology/ Sociology Graduates. This list is not exhaustive, so please get in touch if you are keen to kickstart your career in education. You do not need to hold any formal teaching/ learning support qualifications, but you must feel comfortable supporting students with their learning.
Hours: - Mon to Friday (part time options available)
The Role
Assist to keep the child focused and utilise strategies to support him to access the curriculum
Grow a bond and understanding of the child's needs and establish a strong rapport
Utilise stratedgies to encourage the child to achieve their full potential
Manage any behavioural issues and regain focus to learning
The Candidate
Patient, caring and understanding
Previous experience as a teaching assistant or 1:1 SEN TA would be advatageous
Graduates looking for their first opportunity within a primary school setting
Care workers looking for a change in career where they can utilise their transferable skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
