Location: Aston University Main Campus Aston University is seeking a dedicated Leisure Assistant to join our dynamic team at the Sir Doug Ellis Woodcock Sports Centre. In this exciting role, you will contribute to a vibrant and active campus community by supervising the gym, assisting members with training guidance, leading group exercise sessions, and performing lifeguard duties to ensure the safety of our pool users. You will also take on front-of-house reception responsibilities, providing a welcoming and professional service, managing bookings, and answering queries. Additionally, you will support facility and equipment management by setting up and de-rigging equipment, conducting safety checks, and operating a computerised booking and payment system. You will work on a three-week rotating shift pattern that includes evenings and weekends across our indoor and outdoor sports facilities. You will receive comprehensive training on safety procedures and Sport Aston policies, enabling you to maintain high standards and deliver exceptional service. A current NPLQ lifeguard qualification is essential, along with a customer-focused attitude and enthusiasm for fitness and sport.
