Who We Are
We’re a global technology communications company that empowers people and businesses to stay connected and thrive in a digital world. With a focus on innovation, sustainability and earning customer loyalty, we leverage cutting-edge technology to offer products and services that enhance communication and improve lives.
At Vodafone UK, diversity isn’t just a buzzword, it is core to who we are as a company. We’re proud to be certified as a Great Place to Work and are committed to driving inclusion for all; creating a workplace that is fully representative of the communities and customers we serve.
Be part of Vodafone Business UK, a team that are revolutionising how customers use technology and connectivity. With our extensive range of products and services, we help all kinds of organisations – from small, local businesses to multi-national corporations – unlocking the potential of new technologies, including 5G, AI and the Internet of Things (IoT).
What you’ll do
The Presales Service Specialist’s primary role will be to engage across a range of contact points within a customer organisation and determine the service model which will complement a technology solution required to provide market-leading service to that customer. This is a customer-facing role, working with global clients who are UK-centric as part of the Service Relationship Management organisation in Vodafone UK. The Presales Service Specialist will typically own the service model definition for incremental services to an existing bespoke service model or the tailoring of a standard service model for new customers. The nature, criticality, and scale of some of these opportunities allows our solutions to influence and “change the way Britain works”.
Typically collaborating in a cross-functional and virtual team with Solution Consultants, Subject Matter Experts and Third Parties a Presales Service Specialist will bring valuable insight and contributions to the customer proposal and ensure our solutions excite and delight throughout the life of a contract. Using personal experience, a knowledge of industry practices and a consultative approach, the Presales Service Specialist will ensure that the solution we propose will provide an in-life experience which meets both the client needs and is supportable by Vodafone.
Our solutions serve both private sector and public sector clients and therefore the Presales Service Specialist will gain experience of the procurement frameworks and processes associated with both. Previous experience of public sector procurement would be an advantage. The Presales Service Specialist will respond to requests for service capabilities from the customer but will also be accountable for demand generation activities i.e.: pro-actively creating new opportunities to sell Vodafone Support Services which enhance both the customer experience and the value of the opportunity to Vodafone.
Who you are
The Presales Service Specialist will either collaborate with a Presales Service Consultant or lead the requirements capture and management process ensuring that solutions can be billed, supported, and serviced by Vodafone. Using industry standards such as ITIL the Specialist will ensure an incremental or new service can be provided, while identifying any additional costs which need to be included in the solution to do so. The Service Specialist will benefit customers through demonstrating professionalism, knowledge, skill, and expertise that adds value to the customer’s business and also improves customer satisfaction.
The Presales Service Specialist will have a basic understanding of the products and services within the Vodafone portfolio, a knowledge of the customers that comprise the sales channel and insight into the business and service-related issues facing large enterprises.
