Field Sales Manager Description
We are looking for a Field Sales Manager who can work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. This is a player-manager role, keeping your hands in the game is key to inspiring your team. You will gain your own sales and manage a team of field sales ambassadors by providing effective guidance. You will be responsible for your own individual target, coaching, managing, and motivating team members daily.
As a Field Sales Manager, you will be the main contact point for all your team members, so your communication skills should be excellent. You should also be able to act proactively, ensure smooth team operations, and have effective collaboration across the company. Just as we expect you to support your team, we are committed to supporting your career advancement. You will work alongside like-minded Field Sales Managers and Heads of Sales who are dedicated to winning, growing, and developing the entire team. You'll report to the Head of Sales, who will provide the necessary support, guidance, and mentorship to help you achieve your desired professional growth.
Field Sales Manager Responsibilities
* Meeting targets and deadlines to ensure the daily/monthly/quarterly targets are met and exceeded.
* Door-to-door selling within assigned territories.
* Creating an inspiring team environment with a successful, fun, and open culture.
* Travelling throughout the territory to motivate the team, conduct field coaching, and identify training needs.
* Providing accurate feedback and support for new starters.
* Setting rhythms and delivering clear team goals that are measured daily, monthly, and quarterly.
* Ensuring the team remains a healthy size to exceed targets.
* Ensuring the Lead Management Tool/CRM is updated efficiently and accurately.
* Monitoring team performance and reporting on KPIs.
* Keeping up to date on developments within the company, and being able to communicate clearly and confidently to ambassadors and customers.
* Overseeing the day-to-day operation of your team.
* Listening to team members' feedback and resolving any issues or conflicts.
* Recognising high performance and rewarding accomplishments accordingly.
* Designing and organising team incentives to encourage and motivate team members.
Field Sales Manager Key Requirements
* Excellent sales ability with the desire to close on the day.
* Proven work experience as a Team Leader or Supervisor.
* A Full UK driving license.
* An energetic and outgoing personality, with the ability to work autonomously and collaborate within a team.
* The ability to learn quickly and adapt to change well.
* Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
* Good computer literacy and confidence using tech.
* Flexibility to work some weekends to support the team (if required).
* An ability to absorb industry knowledge and training material quickly.
* An in-depth knowledge of performance metrics.
* Great organisational and time-management skills.
