About Role We are looking for a Graphic Designer to join Ffern. They will sit within our growing design team, reporting to the Design Director.
Key Responsibilities
* Print design: create one-off and repeat designs for print including posters, labels, leaflets, invitations and ledger member gifts.
* Digital design: create and refresh assets for use across Ffern social media, digital advertising and website.
* Packaging & ancillaries: own seasonal updates to packaging and ancillaries; contribute to development of new elements and iteration of existing designs.
* Artworking, special projects: respond to briefs for bespoke graphics, illustrations and other design elements, working closely with the brand team.
* Brand building: work closely with the rest of the design team to develop the Ffern brand and visual identity.
* Design systems · implement and maintain design systems and templates.
Requirements
Your profile
* Portfolio: a digital portfolio of projects demonstrating your skill, expertise and distinct point of view.
* Software: proficiency in Adobe CS (Illustrator and InDesign in particular) amongst other design software (fantastic, for example, if you’re familiar with Figma or have experience with motion graphics).
* Print expertise · experience designing for print; knowledge of print techniques, paper stocks, etc.
* Concept-led design: the ability to respond to creative briefs thoughtfully and strategically, with clear rationale for your proposals.
* Brand acumen: an understanding of and affinity for the world of Ffern; the ability to draw on relevant references to expand and elevate.
* Precision: an eye for detail – you’re aware of the importance of accuracy when incorporating copy, technical information, etc. within designs.
* Communication, organisation: the ability to work with a variety of stakeholders on concurrent projects, prioritising effectively and being an advocate for the role of design in cross-functional processes.
