We are currently looking to recruit a Transport Planner who will be responsible for managing the planning and delivery of orders to our customers through ensuring efficient usage and co-ordination of all the fleet assets.
What does the role involve?
As Transport Planner, you will possess strong communication skills as you will be the main liaison point between fleet operations, Drivers, the warehouse team, and sales. You will plan and oversee all matters related to the Drivers, including route planning and scheduling, coaching, supporting, and debriefing them to achieve an outstanding service to customers, using the Transport Planning Tool. This role would suit either an experienced Transport Administrator or possibly a highly experienced HGV Driver looking to make the move into Transport Planning.
The successful candidate will require:
Proficient in MS Office, including Excel
Experience in planning multiple delivery schedules
Knowledge of safety and legal compliance
Self-motivation, being able to prioritise work and meet deadlines as well as an excellent telephone manner
