An exciting opportunity has arisen with our team for a Podiatry Admin Team Lead.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and competent individual to provide managerial and administrative support to our service.
The post holder will be responsible for the day to day management of the Admin Team and provide wider admin support to the Head of Service, Team Leads and Practice Manager within the Department of Podiatry. Also, on request, provide typing and administrative support to the Specialist Podiatrists.
The successful applicant will need to be able to work independently, prioritising and managing their own workload effectively and responding to the needs of the department and wider service.

Main Duties of the Job
1. To provide direct line management support and supervision of the podiatry admin team, ensuring strict compliance with trust policies and procedures.
2. To monitor and ensure that the management of patient's appointments is efficient and effective, considering the individual needs of the patient and the requirements of the service.
3. To be responsible for the quality of work produced and have oversight of all communications produced by the Podiatry admin Team.
4. To ensure that patients are treated with courtesy, dignity and respect.
5. To support the Practice Manager including deputising in times of leave/sickness.
6. To manage the medical devices log ensuring devices are within service date and that the log is kept up to date.
7. To manage the data protection and litigation requests on behalf of the department.

Person Specification
Educational and Experience
* Good general level of education including GCSEs in English and Mathematics to a grade C or above or equivalent qualification.
* NVQ3 in Administration or equivalent.
* Evidence of continuing professional development.
* ECDL or equivalent.
* Experience of working at a senior secretarial level with supervisory experience.
* RSA stage 3 word processing or equivalent.
* Experience in working within multi-skilled teams.
* Knowledge of IHCS/Systmone and other patient administration systems used within the Trust.
* Knowledge of Unit 4 and other financial systems.
