Support the development of our BOLT proposition by analysing member usage data and engaging with the Insight team. Translate findings into actionable recommendations for standard gym layout principles and graduated kit lists. Collaborate with the Cost Management team to assess financial impacts and develop business cases. Maintain and update the ‘GRID’ across markets when appropriate.
The Team
A key member of the Group Property Development Team. With over 380 gyms in the UK, the PureGym brand is going from strength to strength on its growth journey, underpinned by a technology-enabled offer delivering high-quality, affordable fitness that can be accessed flexibly.
The role
Reporting to the Senior Format Innovation Manager, the role will be responsible for;
* Manage and be the expert in space and equipment utilisation studies.
* Engage with the member insights team to understand member feedback and insights staying close to trends and identifying opportunities in our proposition and member behaviours.
* Convert this data into actionable recommendations for the BOLT proposition, including space allocation, equipment selection, gym layout, and key environmental factors.
* Fully understand how our gyms are being used identifying changes in training trends / behaviours.
* Collaborate with the Cost Management team to evaluate the financial impact of changes to the BOLT proposition and develop supporting business cases.
* Manage and regularly update the GRID across the group.
* Be in the know of what our competitors offer in each market, by carrying out SWOT analysis reports.
* Attend relevant trade shows be proactive with new innovations.
* Collaborate with Design managers to gain feedback on layout challenges as well as understanding feedback from Gym Ops teams.
* Tracking format and equipment trials liaising with suppliers and Gym Ops as required.

* A positive team player passionate about developing themselves and others.
* Preferably educated to degree level and can demonstrate a continual professional and personal development track record.
* Efficient Microsoft office experience and the use of its key programs
* Ability to engage with various stakeholders across the business and communicate effectively.
* Member-focused, always striving to improve member experience through our design process, working collaboratively to deliver the right outcome for members and PureGym.
* Commercially astute and able to evaluate investment decisions, considering member brand expectations balanced with the required levels of return.
* Positively represents the Development function internally and is an ambassador for PureGym externally.
* Ideally has a passion for, or an interest in, fitness and leisure.
