SEMH Mentor
Location: Hammersmith and Fulham
Start Date: Jan 2025 - ASAP Start
Veritas is working with a secondary school situated in the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham that is looking for a SEMH Mentor (Social, Emotional, Mental Health) to join the team. The children within the school have challenging behaviour and come from difficult backgrounds, making it essential for you to be understanding and direct towards their academic progress.
The SEMH Mentor will support individuals with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. The role may be challenging due to the pupils' behaviour; however, witnessing their progress is rewarding. The SEMH Mentor role involves working in a fast-paced secondary school where student needs and behaviour challenges are high, requiring resilience, adaptability, and vigilance. The environment is ever-changing, necessitating staff to stay alert and observant at all times to ensure the safety and well-being of students and the smooth running of the school day. The role brings gratification as you witness students overcome challenges, build resilience, and achieve their goals against the odds.
