Hours 38 hours per week – Flexible – May be a Job Share
Payrate £13-15 per hour
Holiday 5.6 weeks per year including bank holidays (pro rata for part time)
Driving Licence Essential and use of own vehicle
DBS Check Yes – Will be funded by the Employer
A bit about me:
I am an active fun loving 18 year old young lady who loves the outdoors, animals, music and being busy, I have a learning disability, autism and ADHD. I love walking dogs, being outside in all weathers, running, swimming and chilling out watching tv or playing XBox.
I live at home with my family and dogs.
About the role:
I am looking for someone who is kind, caring and understanding to support me to be more independent and also keep me safe. I do lots of activities and sports so, someone to help me access clubs and support me in social situations. I need help with independent living and would like someone to help me with shopping and cooking.
I like to have fun and would like to go to more music gigs and meet up with my friends.
This role is potentially a job share as some hours are after college in the evening and others during the day at the weekends.
The kind of person I am looking for:
You must be reliable and professional. You should be fun, friendly and confident. Have previous experience and/or training of caring and supporting young people with SEN. You must be neurodivergent affirming, forward thinking, patient, keen to teach and support independent living skills and social skills. You are able to support emotional regulation and know techniques to manage energy levels. You are ideally pet friendly, physically fit and have plenty of energy to be outside in most weathers.
A clean UK driving license is required along with a vehicle to be able to access the local community and attend clubs.
