Our rural client is recruiting an Accounts Clerk. Reporting to the Financial Controller this person will assist in the smooth running of the finance department.
Responsibilities will include:
• Purchase ledger duties - checking and matching purchase orders, delivery notes and invoices.
• Obtaining bank details from suppliers and reconciling supplier statements
• Preparing payment proposals using internet banking
• Update and maintain approved supplier and subcontractor records
• Sales and nominal ledger administration
• Petty cash, banking duties and company credit card accounts
• Assisting with the preparation of year end data
To be considered as Accounts Clerk in this small but busy team, you will need the following.
• Purchase Ledger experience including high volume invoice processing.
• Fast and accurate inputting skills with a strong attention to detail.
• VAT filing experience
• Intermediate IT skills – Word, Excel and some Sage software exposure
• Some credit control experience would be helpful but is not essential
