An Office Manager is required to lead a sales & estimating team within a Wolverhampton-based steel manufacturing business. The company has been operating for over 50 years and has several facilities across the black country. Over the years the business has been holding steady, but in the last few years, turnover has doubled, generating the need for some key hires to make improvements and bring the company into the 21st century with new systems, processes, and modern ways of working.
You will be joining the company at a pivotal time, providing structure and accountability within the Sales & Estimating team.
Reporting to the Sales & Estimating Director, you will be responsible for -
Managing a small team of 6 including Estimators and Administrators
Producing management reports and contributing in senior management meetings
Monitoring and managing the workflow from initial enquiry through to order stage
Identifying opportunities for improvement in the quote and order process
Ensuring timescales and deadlines are met
Ensuring effective structure is in place
Providing adhoc administrative supportIdeally you will have the following skills & experience -
Leading a team within an engineering or manufacturing environment
Streamlining and implementing processes
Highly computer literate with excellent communication skillsOn offer for this Office Manager role -
An office-based role based near Wolverhampton
Monday - Friday 37.5 hours per week (some flexibility for a reduction of these)
Parking available on-site
