About the Role:
We are partnering with a prestigious FTSE 250 PLC headquartered in Greater Manchester to recruit a Group Technical Reporting Finance Manager. This high-profile role is ideal for a technically strong, commercially aware finance professional with a background in the Big 4 (EY, KPMG, Deloitte, PwC) and significant experience in group consolidations and IFRS reporting.
Reporting directly to the Head of Group Financial Reporting, you will play a pivotal role in the group consolidation process, statutory reporting, and providing IFRS technical advice across the organisation. Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the preparation of quarterly and full-year consolidated Group accounts, ensuring compliance with IFRS.
* Act as the primary liaison for external auditors during quarterly reviews and the annual audit.
* Oversee the preparation and review of statutory accounts ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
* Provide technical accounting guidance across the Group on complex matters and new transactions.
* Keep up to date with changes in IFRS and lead on the implementation of new accounting standards.
* Support in the preparation of Group financial statements, technical accounting papers, and Board-level reporting.
* Drive consistency and best practice in accounting policies across divisions, ensuring standardisation and adherence.
* Deliver high-quality P&L flash reporting and support commercial analysis with accurate, timely financial insight.
* Maintain robust balance sheet controls and review key reconciliations.
* Work closely with tax advisors and divisional teams to manage group tax estimates and ensure accurate reporting of tax provisions.
* Support continuous process improvements, systems enhancements, and finance transformation projects.
Key Requirements:
* Strong post-qualification experience in a Group Finance or Technical Reporting role, ideally within a listed business.
* Proven experience in preparing consolidated group accounts under IFRS.
* Solid understanding of statutory reporting, audit processes, and internal controls.
* Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to liaise confidently across divisional finance teams and up to Board level.
* Highly organised, deadline-driven, with a continuous improvement mindset.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and technical rigour.
