Essential Functions:
1. Provides a positive and professional representation of the organization.

3. Maintains hospital standards for a clean and quiet patient environment to ensure a positive patient care experience.
4. Maintains competency and knowledge of current standards of practice, trends, and developments in related scope of job role or practice.
5. Adheres to infection-control policies and protocols.
6. Complies with organizational and regulatory policies for handling confidential patient information.
7. Demonstrates excellent customer service through attitude and actions, consistent with the standards contained in the Vision, Mission, and Values of the organization.
8. Adheres to professional standards, hospital policies and procedures, as well as federal, state, and local requirements, including TJC standards and/or standards from other accrediting bodies.
9. As a Studer Partner, must develop a full understanding of the Studer Group practices and tools and communicate effectively. Must embrace the Studer Philosophy and Principles by conducting him/herself in a professional manner.
10. Performs professional telephone greeting, directing appropriate communication flow.
11. Operates telephone systems, including placing calls on hold and transferring calls.
12. Demonstrates effective communication skills.
13. Greets patients and families, assisting them with directions and questions as appropriate.
14. Answers routine questions regarding department operations.
15. Provides accurate directions within the department/hospital for staff, patients, and families.
16. Monitors inventory of clerical supplies and orders as needed.
17. Completes hospital competencies as required.
18. Prints patient stickers and reviews patient charts for completeness.
19. Inputs computer information in a timely, efficient manner, including physician orders, labs, and work orders.
