Canon’s House - Transforming Young Lives
An excellent opportunity awaits you to become a vital member of the Senior Leadership Team at Canon’s House in the role of Senior Child Care Officer. As a crucial contributor to the Leadership and Management of our home, you will play an integral role in shaping the future of care for children and young people.
At Canon’s House, we provide short breaks for children (5-17) with complex learning disabilities, health needs, and challenging behaviours. Our 'whole child' approach ensures empathetic, holistic care, fostering stability, belonging, and positive well-being. We champion diversity, promote equality, and partner with families and professionals to deliver tailored care for all.
Join us in creating positive outcomes for every child as a Senior Care Officer leading diverse in-house and community activities, encouraging staff to contribute to enriching experiences aligned with children's views and wishes.
We seek a confident, knowledgeable, and experienced professional capable of supervising and ensuring the safe delivery of care for children and young people with complex health needs. Your expertise should cover critical areas such as moving and handling, enteral feeding, and the safe handling and administration of controlled medication. A Level 4 Children, Young People and Families Practitioner Apprenticeship Standard/Level 3 Diploma for Residential childcare or equivalent will be essential.
An initial shortlisting interview will take place on Wednesday 05 March, where there will be an opportunity to visit the home, take a tour of all Canon’s House has to offer and a change to meet some of the children and staff. Once the shortlisting has been completed, shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a formal interview on Monday the 10 of March.
Join us at Canon’s House and be a driving force in creating a nurturing and empowering environment for those who need it most.
