Position
Due to reorganisation of the Surgical Team in South, a new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 Team Lead Physiotherapist.
What you will do:
You will have clinical and management responsibilities for Surgical, Elective Orthopaedics in patient teams and the Vascular and Lymphoedema pan-Ayrshire services. Total headcount 15.
This role encompasses Physiotherapy assessment, diagnosis, and treatment within a team of physiotherapy staff. Previous experience of surgical physiotherapy is essential.
The clinical work will involve providing expert input to post-surgical patients. This will principally involve in-patient treatment.
In addition, you will support the development of the individual team members and service. Primarily, you will manage the team from an operational and strategic perspective. You will attend regular team lead and governance meetings. You will empower and enable your team to improve service performance and evolve treatment delivery. Some experience of leadership and staff development is desirable, but abundant training will also be available.
Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:
You will be passionate about empowering your patients to achieve their goals and to remain as independent and active as possible. Awareness and experience of quality improvement is also desired.
We offer an active in-service and appraisal programme and peer support by therapists with widespread clinical skills.
You should have excellent communication skills and be able to lead a team. You must have HCPC registration, and membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy is highly desirable.
Hours: up to 37 hours per week
UK Driving Licence/Car Ownership:
Car licence/Car ownership is essential to this role.
