About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced and qualified Fire Door Installer to join our team, working on various social housing and education projects across London. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fire door installation, a thorough understanding of fire safety regulations, and expertise in carpentry and joinery. You will be working on projects that require high-quality installations, ensuring compliance with BM TRADA standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Install, maintain, and repair fire doors across social housing and education projects.
2. Ensure all fire doors are fitted to meet BM TRADA standards and fire safety regulations.
3. Carry out inspections and repairs, ensuring doors function correctly and meet safety standards.
4. Collaborate with site managers and other contractors to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
5. Keep accurate records of work completed, including compliance with fire safety regulations.
6. Maintain a high standard of workmanship, attention to detail, and professionalism at all times.
7. Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures on-site.
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
1. BM TRADA knowledge (essential).
2. City & Guilds Carpentry & Joinery qualification (essential).
3. Proven experience fitting fire doors, ideally on social housing or education projects.
4. Strong understanding of fire safety regulations and compliance.
5. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
6. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high standards of work.
7. Strong communication and team-working skills.
8. Full UK driving license (as a company van will be provided).
Desirable Skills:
1. CSCS card or equivalent health and safety qualification.
2. Additional fire safety qualifications would be advantageous.
