Job Overview
Equifind has partnered with a leading investment group in their search for a Senior Financial Controller to join their London office (Liverpool Street). With a global presence, this firm has a proven track record of delivering market-leading returns. Managing a diverse portfolio across private equity, real estate, and equities, they cater to a wide range of institutional investors.
This newly created role will sit within their real estate division and play a pivotal role in supporting the CFO with implementing institutional-grade reporting and analysis. You will also be responsible for managing a team of four accountants.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Lead the coordination of refinancing projects for real estate assets, managing due diligence, financial analysis, and stakeholder communication.
* Oversee the preparation and review of monthly management accounts packs, providing key financial insights to support decision-making.
* Support the FP&A Director with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning, providing actionable insights to senior leadership.
* Collaborate with asset managers to assess financial performance, returns, and risk analysis for existing and future investments.
* Conduct financial and operational due diligence for potential sales, acquisitions, and disposals.
* Support the Group CFO in evaluating financial strategies, business performance, and commercial opportunities.
* Prepare financial reports for investors, lenders, and internal stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accuracy.
* Lead system and process setup and improvements as part of ongoing platform mobilisation and development.
* Manage and mentor finance team members, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
Application Requirements
* Qualified chartered accountant.
* Proven experience in a senior financial reporting role including managing a team.
* Strong understanding of IFRS & UK GAAP.
* Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and global environment.
* Strategic mindset and the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
