The Registered Manager Role We are seeking a motivated and skilled Registered Manager to lead a children’s home, ensuring the highest standards of care and compliance with OFSTED regulations. This is a pivotal leadership role that focuses on operational excellence, staff development, and fostering a warm and therapeutic environment for young people. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the daily operations of the children’s home, ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements. Create a child-centred environment that prioritises safety, well-being, and personal development. Develop and implement tailored care plans that meet the individual needs of each child. Lead the recruitment, supervision, and professional development of staff, building a motivated and high-performing team. Manage budgets and performance targets, ensuring financial and operational efficiency. Develop and maintain strong relationships with OFSTED, local authorities, families, and other key stakeholders. Embed a culture of safeguarding throughout the home. About You: To excel in this role, you will need: A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent). Proven experience as a Registered Manager within a children’s residential setting. A deep understanding of OFSTED regulations and relevant legislation. Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a team. A firm commitment to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of young people. Exceptional communication, organisational, and decision-making skills. A full UK driving license.
