Job Title: Finance Assistant
Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:00
Salary: £28,000 per annum
Kara Healthcare is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Accounts and Finance Assistant to join our dynamic finance team. This role is perfect for someone with strong organizational skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable:
1. Process supplier invoices and manage supplier queries related to invoices.
2. Prepare supplier payment runs, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
3. Produce BACS payment runs for approval and process payments on the bank.
4. Reconcile supplier statements and send remittances to suppliers post-payment run.
Accounts Receivable:
1. Process invoices into the accounts system and send to customers.
2. Handle queries related to resident fees and resolve them in a timely manner.
3. Collaborate with the credit control team to reduce outstanding debts.
Banking:
1. Post transactions for receipts and payments in the bank system.
2. Reconcile monthly bank accounts and address any query transactions.
Payroll:
1. Verify payroll details submitted by care homes.
2. Provide payroll details for new starters, leavers, and adjustments.
Ad-hoc Tasks & Projects:
1. Assist with various tasks and projects as requested by the finance team.
What We’re Looking For:
1. Experience in accounts payable and receivable, banking, and payroll processing.
2. Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with suppliers, customers, and internal teams.
3. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
4. Proficiency with finance and accounting systems.
5. Ability to work efficiently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a similar field.
2. Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.
3. Proficiency in IT systems and MS Office applications.
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
