Job Summary
This individual will be responsible for leading delivery of our current portfolio within the Grid & Energy Storage market, as well as developing and implementing a strategy for future diversification and growth. This is a strategic role within our business.
We are seeking a dynamic and ambitious individual with experience working on transmission grid infrastructure, distribution grid infrastructure, interconnectors, HVDC, grid stability, energy storage, solar, and green hydrogen projects.
We work with a number of high-profile developer and contractor clients including SSE, EDF, UK Power Networks, SPEN, Banks Renewables, Murphy, Jones Bros, Farrans, and I&H Brown.
Job Responsibilities:
* Develops and maintains a sound understanding of the Grid & Energy Storage market, including key prospective clients, projects, programmes, and emerging technologies.
* Develops and owns a market growth plan, including value propositions and partnerships to position Tony Gee strategically within the sector.
* Reinforces existing relationships and forms new ones with key clients to achieve market growth targets.
* Identifies, tracks, and maintains leads and enquiries, ensuring accurate capture in the market pipeline.
* Collaborates with the Power & Energy Director to lead business development and sector profile development, representing the company at industry events.
* Leads bid responses with support from technical and business development teams.
* Oversees project performance within the market at the portfolio level, working with Project Directors, Engineers, and Technical Leads to meet project objectives.
* Provides technical and project delivery leadership within the field of expertise.
* Promotes a culture of health, safety, and welfare.
* Designs and delivers civil/structural aspects of National Grid infrastructure projects, including substations, overhead lines, HVDC, and interconnectors.
* Designs and delivers civil/structural aspects of transmission and/or distribution network projects.
* Possesses experience in projects such as substations, solar farms, interconnectors, battery storage, green hydrogen, gas peaking, or grid stabilization schemes within the Grid & Energy Storage market.
* Manages multidisciplinary design, project, and commercial aspects of projects.
* Exhibits strong communication and influencing skills.
* Focuses on client satisfaction.
* Holds TP141 certification.
Qualifications:
* Civil/structural engineering degree or equivalent industry experience.
* Chartered Engineer status or equivalent industry experience.
