Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Manufacturing/Production Teams transform raw materials into finished goods and ensure component flow. They perform changeovers and setups according to production schedule, conduct quality checks according to established processes, and document the results as required by our quality procedures. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.
You will be responsible for performing changeovers and setups according to the production schedule, conducting quality checks, and documenting the results. Additionally, you will maintain the cleanliness and organization of the work area and adhere to TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures. Reporting to the Machine Shop supervisor, you will lead a cell by managing workload, production, and staff. You will supervise, set up, and operate first/second operation machines to meet specifications, ensuring components are produced accurately.
What your background should look like:
* Day-to-day supervision of staff.
* Deputise in the absence of supervision.
* Split your daily output as 50% indirect and 50% direct work (direct work includes setting/operating CNC machines).
* Responsible for other cells in the absence of supervision.
* Liaise with other departments and managers as required.
* Ensure company procedures and policies are maintained.
* Adhere to health and safety regulations as laid down in company procedures and government legislation.
* Maintain efficient manning ratios on first and second operations.
* Plan and carry out training for apprentices and staff development.
* Liaise with the maintenance department regarding machine breakdowns and repairs.
* Participate in TEOA/KAISAN/5S audit activities when required.
* Maintain cleanliness of the area and equipment, applying 5S+1 and TPM principles.
* Perform any other reasonable tasks as requested.
* Hold and record effective 1-1 meetings with team members and provide feedback to the supervisor.
* Promote a positive attitude and good teamwork.

Machine waiting time, OEE, operations managed by supervision.
Assists/Co-operates:
Supervision and other members of the production departments as required.
