As a Chargehand, you’ll work closely with the Site Supervisor to ensure the smooth, safe, and efficient operation of our recycling centre. This role offers the chance to make a real difference while supporting sustainability efforts in your community. Why It’s an Opportunity Not to Be Wasted: Assist the Site Supervisor in managing daily site operations, ensuring everything runs safely and efficiently. Act as the Site Supervisor in their absence, gaining valuable management experience. Maximise waste segregation to boost recycling rates and reduce environmental impact. Help site users and visitors sort and deposit waste safely and effectively. Oversee site cleanliness, traffic control, and equipment upkeep to ensure a safe and organized environment. Monitor and manage waste in line with site licences, Health & Safety standards, and environmental regulations.
