Main duties of the job
This is a permanent post, arising after the previous post holder has taken retirement. This post offers an opportunity to combine working in a well-established, in-patient team with crossing into the acute provider. This post will focus on trauma and acute rehabilitation. Our increasing community focus has reduced length of stay and enabled us to manage people in the community who would have had to come in the past. The ward beds provide a secure launching base for the service, with many patients going through the ward. The department is ambitious and growing. We anticipate further changes in the department and would encourage doctors with other special interests to contact the department for a conversation.
