Location: RG7 4PR, located between Reading and Basingstoke, with free onsite parking.
Package: £48,030 - £75,930 (depending on your suitability, qualifications, and level of experience)

Let us introduce the role
AWE is currently recruiting for a Senior Finance and Procurement Manager. The successful candidate will be results-driven with a proven track record of driving teams towards targets. You will work closely with all areas of science alongside our finance and commercial partners, to ensure robust governance and compliance processes whilst providing critical assurance to the Executive Director of Science ensuring the highest standards are maintained across the area.
Who are we looking for?
We do need you to have the following:
* Significant finance experience - ACCA or CIMA qualified
* Demonstrable experience of influencing & engaging with commercial partners
* Knowledge of supply chain processes and delivery models
Whilst not to be considered a tick list, we’d like you to have experience in some of the following:
* Accomplished in data analysis, transforming data into actionable management information
* Skilled communicator with the ability to influence and engage across an organisation
* Ability to add value by proactively pursuing improvements and efficiencies
* Proven record of delivering with success and overcoming complex challenges
* Proficient in strategic procurement, planning and budget management
* Awareness of dashboard tools such as Power BI and Foundry
* Strong organisational skills with a flexible approach to tasks

Important things you need to know:
* You will need to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance for the role. This will be funded by AWE. The nature of our work does mean you need to be a British Citizen who has been resident in the UK for the past 5 years in order to apply for SC clearance and 10 years for DV.

* Our interviews typically take place over Teams and for most roles are a 1 stage process.
IF ONSITE ONLY:
Due to the classified nature of the work involved, there are limited opportunities to work from home in this role. It is anticipated that the successful candidate will spend the majority of their time working on site at AWE Aldermaston.
IF HYBRID POSSIBLE:
Hybrid working is available for this role on an informal, non-contractual basis. Typically, 2 days onsite per week.
