Hours per week: 21 hours per week Over either 4 or 5 days. Days can be discussed but ideally Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday
Hourly pay rate: £14.70 per hour
Morning Shift: 10am - 12pm Evening Shift: 6pm-8pm, Occasional late evening once a month (10-11pm finish) Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Carer & Housekeeper to support a professional woman in her 30s living with hEDS, ME, and Autism.
his role involves a mix of personal care, household organisation, and facilitating outdoor activities.
The role is based in Lewes.
Key Duties Include:
- Managing and maintaining nutrition
- Maintaining a habitable home environment
- Supporting the client in making use of necessary facilities and services in the community
- Helping to maintain important personal relationships Morning Shifts:
- Cleaning and housekeeping
- Personal care assistance, including maintaining personal hygiene and dressing
- Preparing breakfast and lunch
Afternoon/Evening Shifts:
- Assisting with meals (food prep is already covered)
- Providing support for outings and activities, including accessing community facilities and services
- Attending medical appointments
- Facilitating social engagements and hobbies, including maintaining important relationships
- Helping with dog walks and outdoor activities
Requirements
- Driver's License: Preferred, with a car available for use on the job
- Mobility Assistance: Comfortable with pushing a manual wheelchair
- Personality: Sociable and enjoys outdoor activities, including spending time with a small dog Ideal
Candidate: You should be organised, empathetic, and flexible to adapt to a variety of weekly plans. A love for nature, social activities, and a proactive approach to expanding the client’s life outside the home is essential.
