We are recruiting for a Support Worker to join our lovely team on a part-time, permanent basis based in the Thornton area. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £13.50 per hour weekdays / £14.50 per hour weekends.
CCMS is fully committed to delivering excellent support to all our clients and their families and puts their thoughts and expectations at the heart of everything we do.
We are extremely proud to offer very distinct and specialised case management services for adults and children recovering from an acquired/traumatic brain injury, spinal or catastrophic injuries, and associated disabilities or conditions.
The Support Worker Role:
We are currently recruiting for a Support Worker for a lovely 63-year-old gentleman in the Thornton area to maximise his independence following a traumatic brain injury.
Initially, this is for Sundays only, with a minimum of 6 hours per week and the potential to increase the number of hours in the future, as well as extra hours available for the cover of staff holidays.
What we are looking for in our Support Worker:
We are looking for somebody with an empathetic approach and great communication skills. Experience of working in the community with individuals with a traumatic brain injury, including cognitive and memory difficulties, is essential.
Applicants require a dynamic approach, with the ability to promote independence. You will be required to engage with the client in their home and in community activities. This includes medication administration, facilitating community outings, assisting with managing the home environment, and seizure management.
We believe this opportunity is commutable from Leeds, Bradford, and Halifax, as well as the surrounding villages.
A driver/full license is essential. A flexible approach is necessary regarding working shift patterns should hours increase in the future.
Successful applicants will receive support, training, and supervision.
Please note we are NOT able to offer sponsorship for this role and therefore will not be able to progress any candidates who require a certificate of sponsorship to work in the UK.
