We are hiring for Senior Test Automation Engineer any of these location will work Reading, Perth, Glasgow, Havant, UK
Role- Senior Test Automation Engineer
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the design, build and maintenance of flexible test automation frameworks that can meet rapidly changing requirements
* Design and develop reusable automated test scripts
* Act as a test automation subject matter expert, sharing knowledge and experience with other members of the team
* Collaborate with analysis and development resources to ensure test automation requirements are included in project delivery
* Defining data and environment requirements
* Coordinate and report on test automation activities in your workstream
* Assist in the identification of initiatives to deliver innovative improvements to test automation
* Mentor and guide more junior colleagues
* Managing defect lifecycle
* Actively promote the use of test automation
* Activities may include — but are not limited to:
* Planning, designing, managing, executing and reporting of automated tests
* Working closely with other test resources to identify appropriate tests and business processes to be automate
* Reviewing commercial and Open-Source test automation software for suitability of use
* Non-functional testing of qualities such as — but not limited to — performance, security, access, backup, and recovery, archiving and retention, robustness, availability, capacity, scalability, reliability, performance, stress, volume, maintainability, and portability
* Managing risks associated with test automation and taking preventative action when needed
* Adopting and adapting test automation methods to work with waterfall, incremental or agile approaches
* Conforming to agreed process standards, industry-specific regulations, and data protection legislation
* Promoting productivity through test automation, tools, and best practices
* Developing scalable and reliable automated tests
* Help protect from cyberattack and data loss by following standards and instructions and by reporting risks and incidents
Essential Functional / Technical Skills
* Relevant professional qualifications or degree
* Display a solid understanding of testing best practice and the development lifecycle with good experience of applying this knowledge in a testing capacity
* Be competent in the use of test automation tools and technologies
* Software development skills and an understanding of software development best practices
* • Proficient use of MS Word and Excel
* Have the ability to motivate and lead a small team of testers and report accurately to management
* Be able to actively manage a test pack to successful completion in aggressive timeframes

* Have good interpersonal skills at all levels
